Are you watching the I. C. F tonight at 8-30pm on Channel 10 tonight? (I think it will be 7-30pm at your end now, as we have just put our clocks back on
Sat/Sun morning, as you may have, so you'll be 90mns in front now, but don't know if you'll see this in time)
I know you watch 'Underbelly' on at the same time, but you may know that there is a repeat at 10-30pm on a Sunday night, so you can catch up before the next episode on a Monday night if you need to. I've stopped watching that now, as, whilst it seemed good, I'm a bit tired of the drug theme, and when there is nothing else on on a Monday (it's mostly a bit barren just now) I'd prefer to put a DVD on.
I thought that the ' In' Comedy Fest' would be good to watch, as we need a laugh with the things going on in the world ,and even in our local community today. I know there will be some language in it ie: the 'F' word, but with it being International, and some good comedians on, I can overlook that.
Not watching 'Life On Mars' now either. I left it after I think the second or maybe third episode when they changed the story with June outside the jewellery shop when she got shot. In the British one she was only there to get her engagement ring adjusted for size, but they'd got her being the driver in a getaway car! Couldn't hack the change when there seemed no reason for it! I can understand if they have to change it to fit in with any American things etc, but I think they should stay true to the British story as much as possible. I much prefer the British one anyway.
Liz White, who played 'Annie' in the British one appeared in last Friday's episode of 'Rebus' at 8-30pm, which I am watching, (he's a detective) and I watch ' Vincent' after it at 9-40pm. (he's a private detective, but I think he works with the police, but not sure) They are both new episodes. It was good to see her again, and her acting was brilliant, as expected! She didn't have much make-up on for most of it, as she was playing a Mother of a young boy and lived in a block of council flats just as an ordinary citizen. The story was about her teenage brother who ended up getting beaten up and died.
They are both good programs, but a bit harrowing, as the killings when they happen are getting more brutal and graphic to years ago! Doesn't make for pleasant viewing - hence seeing programs like the 'Comedy Festival' now and again, or half hour comedies, even the ones I've seen on my DVDs! I watch a lot of crime programs (all British) both on TV and on my DVD series collection, so it 's good to have a laugh - I like anything that makes me laugh!
Anyway, I've digressed a bit, but just thought I'd ask. (found out this is really called The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, but that's a mouthful! It's in aide of Oxfam)
CYA!
