Anyone who was watching the tribute program on I think C9 on Saturday night if they were in Gosnells would have been frustrated with the power cuts - would have to catch up tonight. I didn't watch, as they gave out C7 would be doing one tonight.
He didn't have a childhood really, at least not a normal one, as he would be rehearsing when other children were out playing. He didn't have any social skills for just ordinary conversation, even though he exhuded confidence on stage, but that was all he knew how to do! They said in recent interviews that he didn't feel comfortable just chatting in interviews. It showed 'Mollie' Meldrum interviewing him at the Telethon he came over for - a deal he had with someone at the station - I forget who now - who had the rights to the Beatles songs ,which he wanted to buy, but the person wouldn't let him have 'Penny Lane' for some reason. (Mollie's been invited to the funeral he said)
All the other dirt's coming out now, about his children not being his, and him not having any hair, and being on lots of medications etc! I don't see how they could have been his just thinking about it, as none of them were black, but I never gave that a thought before!
If the Mother is white and the Father black, you usually get one that is white, but the child could still go on to have at least one black child even if they marry a white person, and all the way down the line, as there are 'throw backs'. I don't know which is the more prominent when children are born to two different coloured parents - black or white really.
Wish he hadn't messed around with his face, as he used to be nice looking before that. I think it was his Father who called him 'big nose' and he always had a thing about it, but there was nothing wrong with it. His Father abused him apparently, by beating him. Haven't got any of his music, but I liked a lot of it, my favourite was 'Ben'. I liked 'The Jackson Five' when they first came out, and I didn't even know they were a coloured group until I saw them. I'm missing the programme - should have taped it!
CYA!
