I expect you remember Geof Parry? He's the jounalist bloke on the news with Channel 7 who reports from all sorts of places, and always does a pause after saying his name at the end ie: 'This is Geof Parry........7..........N..i..g..h..t..l..y News!' in a R2 D2 sort of voice!

Well, he's just had FIVE by-passes in a 4 hour operation. He hadn't had a heart attack, but had symptoms and warning signs, and when he went for a check-up it turns out that his arteries were really clogged! Susannah Carr was interviewing him at the side of his hospital bed (in Freo I think) on the news tonight. You could see his scar down the middle of his chest, and it looked like there was something inserted in his lower leg. He's OK now, but says people should not ignore any warning signs.

They listed about five symptons of heart desease, which I can't remember all of now, but the first one was high colestrol, which you mentioned in one of your latest blogs. I don't think it means on its own though, maybe a combination of them. Chest pains featured, which was why Geof went to the doctor's.I think getting abnormally out of breath was another.
